چکیده
An experiment was conducted at the ICAR Nagaland Centre during rainy (kharif) season of 2018–2019 and 2019–2020 to check most suitable maize (Zea mays L.) variety cropping geometry for + greengram (Vigna radiata intercropping system. The results revealed that among varieties maize, VHM-45 recorded highest grain yield (4.92 t/ha) stover (14.76 t/ha). Whereas, in system 1:1 (maize greengram) (5.16 (17.06 (1.27 (2.64 sole crop. Maize equivalent (MEY) intercropped with (8.73 crop geometry, (1:1) MEY (9.16 soil nutrient status after harvest showed an increase available N, P2O5 K2O kg/ha or higher density as compared others. competition functions like land ratio (LER) aggressivity (A) prominently indicated benefits Similarly, profitability energy efficiency geometry; additive series 1:1) respectively.

Does Aluminium Phytotoxicity Induce Oxidative Stress in Greengram (vigna Radiata)?
To verify whether aluminium phytotoxicity causes oxidative stress in developing greengram seedlings, the present investigation was carried out. An uniform decrease in root and shoot elongations was marked as the primary signs of aluminium injury. A significant increase in lipid peroxidation measured in terms of TBARS content was noticed which was also correlated with an increase in membrane inj...

The experiment was carried out at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Jessore to evaluate the performance of different varieties of hybrid maize under intercropping systems with groundnut in rabi seasons to find out the suitable intercropping system in increasing crop productivity and profitability of consecutive two years (2004 and 2005). ...
متن کاملMaize (Zea mays L.).
Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation is an effective method for introducing genes into maize. In this chapter, we describe a detailed protocol for genetic transformation of the maize genotype Hi II. Our starting plant material is immature embryos cocultivated with an Agrobacterium strain carrying a standard binary vector. In addition to step-by-step laboratory transformation proced...
متن کاملEpistasis in Maize (zea Mays
ISHER (1918) provided a framework for the characterization of genotypic variance whereby he partitioned it into three components: ( 1 ) a portion associated with the average effects of genes, (2) a portion associated with dominance effects (allelic interactions) of genes, and (3) a portion associated with epistatic effects (nonallelic interactions) of genes. A logical method for the further sub...
متن کاملPetroleum Products in Soil Mediated Oxidative Stress in Cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) and Maize (Zea mays) Seedlings
The effects of petroleum products (kerosene, diesel, engine oil and petrol) treatment of soil at various sublethal concentrations (0.0%, 0.1%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5% and 2.0%) on oxidative stress markers (lipid peroxidation, superoxide dismutase activity, catalase activity and xanthine oxidase) were studied in cowpea and maize seedlings. The results indicated that the petroleum products caused...
